Every Time DFB has reviewed the SAME meal

10/5/17: During our first visit, we enjoyed STK’s food and had great service. One of our objectives during this visit was to try a few of the same dishes to see if they were still as good as we remembered.

10/3/17: Now, you may be thinking, “Wait. I remember this dish. Didn’t you have it the last time you went to Yak & Yeti, AJ?” And the answer is: YEP

10/30/17: I couldn’t resist checking out the latest version of my (formerly) favorite dish here [Brown Derby]

11/9/17: I also had to try the Mac and Cheese again,..... I also had to get the Brussels Sprouts. Yes. You read that correctly. Why? Because they were crispy and delicious the first time we tried them.  [The Polite Pig]

11/26/17: Our favorites here are the French Dip Burger and the Sausage and Pepper Hoagie. On this visit, I wanted to try both to see how they’re holding up...We have enjoyed the Sausage and Peppers Hoagie on past visits, and on this one, it was still a standout. [Electric Umbrella]

12/5/17: I noticed a change to one of my favorite golden treats on my last visit when I spotted a sign for the Caramel Butter Bar. It was front and center ahead of what looked suspiciously like the old Caramel Covered Shortbread — also previously known as the Chewy Caramel BarI wasn’t super concerned at first because this particular snack has been known by a few different names over the years, but basically remained a dependable combo of thick caramel poured atop and in between layers of buttery shortbread. I figured I was good to go because the “new” Caramel Butter Bar looks… virtually identical to its predecessor....it was completely indecipherable in my Caramel Butter Bar.

1/26/18: Plus I couldn’t leave without snagging one of my favorite snacks - Flame Tree BBQ

2/21/18: I opted for the South American Chocolate Ganache, which we also loved on our first visit.  - Tiffins

2/23/18: Mickey Cake Pops = always awesome! ...From Dole Whips to French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese, we’ve eaten them all! Multiple times! - Mickey Cake Pops re-review

3/8/18: I opted for three dishes — one an old standby and two new additions. - Brown Derby Lounge

3/13/18: ...the listing for Indian-Style Bread Service. That was my first stop. And it was an easy choice to make....The sauce [for butter chicken] includes butter (or ghee) and is super rich. This has been a favorite of mine at Sanaa for YEARS. - Sanaa

5/4/18: "On this visit I dug back into those Cheese and Bacon Fries. (Yeah, you saw that comin’…)" - Beaches and Cream

5/24/18: "If you’ve followed the saga of our previous visits to The Boathouse, you might’ve gathered that there was no way I could dine here and skip the Firecracker Shrimp. " - Boathouse

9/17/18: "I went with a much-loved (and for good reason!!) appetizer: Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli. " - California Grill

2/2/19: "I was anxious to eat some old favorites" - Il Mulino

2/5/19: "I’ve had it multiple times, and it’s always good." - Whispering Canyon

3/5/19: "One of my faaaaavorite things to eat here — and I get it on pretty much every visit— is Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese. " - 50's Prime Time

6/8/19: "The next Shareable dish I ordered was new back in February (see our first review of them here!), and I had to get them again" - Polite Pig, Disney Springs

Wordless Wednesday: This Is Really Good

Welcome to this week's Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop hosted by Focused on the Magic

Another trip with a friend to Earl of Sandwich in Manhattan finally FINISHING my Eat Each Sandwich challenge. (For links to the rest of my reviews, scroll down!)  Woot!! I have now eaten every hot sandwich available on the Earl of Sandwich menu.

Unfortunately, we're not ending on a high note.  The tuna melt on wheat was meh.  Too much mayo, not enough Swiss (what was there was sufficiently melty though).  Could have used more crunch from celery or something.  It kind of felt like nursing home food.

Also it's not that appetizing to look at.  Some green crunchy veggies and cheddar could have brought some color to the sandwich.

However, I am DELIGHTED to have finished my goal!  I will still go back to Earl for the breakfast sandwiches and desserts, but I feel like this was definitely an accomplishment for me.  Yay!

Favorite Food Friday: Earl of Sandwich Caprese

Welcome to another Favorite Food Friday hosted by Disney Day by Day!

As seems to be the custom lately, I had plans to swing by Earl in NYC for lunch with Disney friends over Memorial Day weekend.  We were devastated to learn that Earl is closed on Sundays!  Fortunately, my office was also closed on Monday for Memorial day, so I got to go back then.  I am so close to completing Eat Each Sandwich challenge! (For links to the rest of my reviews, scroll down!)

This time, I had the Caprese sandwich on white bread.  The bread was beautifully toasted as always and had pesto spread on it that really made the sandwich extra delicious

The tomatoes were fine and the mozzarella cheese was plentiful.  There was also a drizzle of balsamic vinegar reduction on it to add a little umami flavor.  My favorite part was the pesto though - without it the sandwich would have been unremarkable at best.
This was definitely one of my favorite Earl sandwiches in recent memory.

Favorite Food Friday: Earl of Sandwich Ham n Swiss

Welcome to another Favorite Food Friday hosted by the devious Disney Day by Day!

Another trip with a friend to Earl of Sandwich in Manhattan continuing on in my Eat Each Sandwich challenge. (For links to the rest of my reviews, scroll down!)

This time I went with the Ham and Swiss on wheat (my preferred kind of bread unless the sandwich really needs the white).

The sandwich was good. The cheese was nicely melty and the creaminess paired well with the ham.  The mustard wasn't very strong but didn't completely disappear against the fillings, and the wheat bread brought an extra dimension of flavor.

This sandwich isn't going to win any awards, nor is it the most unusual or creative option, but it does the job well.

You may have read my Disney World To Do List where I keep track of all the things that I want to try/do at Disney World. A lot of these things I found on Disney blogs and podcasts which, let's be honest, are not always the most reliable sources.

So some of these items I have been unable to personally verify as existing.  If any of you guys can confirm the existence of these items (you have to have personally experienced it, not just heard about it from someone else), let me know!
